Some models you just didn't get when released, because other models had priority, or you just didn't consider them a must-have at that time because you already had the same model in a different color, and that is exactly what happened with this pink Lamborghini Aventador LB-Works on a 1/18 scale from GT Spirit/Kyosho.
In 2015 GT Spirit announced a Lamborghini Aventador LB-Works widebody in Baby Blue, you could order it directly from them as a pre-order, but I imagined it would arrive at online shops eventually ... well, that never happened, rumor had it GT Spirit didn't have a license to make this model, so only a handful of them were delivered to those that pre-ordered it, I didn't, so I was out of luck.
It would take them three years to finally release a Lamborghini Aventador LB-Works, this time in a fighter grey livery, naturally, I added that one to the collection, at the same time there was a pink one being released as a Kyosho, but it was intended for the Asian market only, and it came with a serious premium to get it in Europe, so I didn't buy one back then.
Eventually, I managed to find this joint venture model between GT Spirit and Kyosho in both a yellow and a military green finish, and I even added the original baby blue one that had eluded me years ago, but I still had a craving for this pink version, just to have all five colors they ever released.
The problem was that this specific model was also limited to just 500 units, and most of those never made it to Europe, and the ones I did manage to find online were listed from Japan or China, and at a serious asking price, on top of which I would have to pay a substantial import cost ... so I waited.
In the end I found this one in the Netherlands, apparently this dealer still had one in his stock from back in 2018, and he was willing to sell it to me for a reasonable amount of money, so I took a three hour drive and picked up this final shade missing from my collection.
I have to agree the AUTOart version of this Lamborghini Aventador LB-Works on a 1/18 scale is a lot nicer detailed, and comes with doors that can open, but the latter didn't release this pink shade, nor a yellow one, nor a fighter grey one for that matter, hence why I just love to own all five GT Spirit/Kyosho shades now.
