Back in the early Sixties the late Ferruccio Lamborghini founded what would become of the most impressive super car builders ever, with cars like the Miura, Countach, Diablo and now the Murcielago. However Ferruccio didn't begin by building super exotic cars, his intention was a nice GT model.

He had Franco Scaglione design him a front engine, V12 powered luxury tourer that was shown as the 350 GTV (with the V for Veloce)

This prototype was later re-designed by Touring into the really nice looking 350 GT, the original prototype was subsequently forgotten in a corner of the factory ... to be restored two decades later. Today this amazing green metallic 350 GTV is on display at the official factory museum in Sant'Agata ... fully functional by the way.

I went for the 1/43 scale model by Starline in this original shade and with the headlights open, you can also buy it with these 'pods' closed, in which case I decided to buy the silver metallic shade, which actually represents a wooden mock-up that was also made and that is currently shown in the Tonino Lamborghini Museum in Cento.
