Personally, I’m a 1/18 scale collector first and foremost, but these days the small 1/64 scale models have become too interesting to pass on, and I’m not talking about Hotwheels; those I merely add if I find them for a normal price, cheap ones, I’ve been collecting MiniGT Lamborghini models for a while now, and sometimes I add the occasional Tomica model too, but most of them, just like the Hotwheels, aren’t really nicely detailed.

But when you look at the Tomica Limited Vintage Neo series, you know those aren’t your regular Tomica 1/64 scale model; these Vintage models are a much higher level of detail and finish, they are really nice, and as I already own a few of those, the Miura S, the Miura SV, the Countach LP400, and the Countach 25th Anniversary, when I saw they now released a Diablo SE30, I knew I had to add it to the collection too.

There are two colors available in this Limited Vintage Neo series on the Diablo SE30: a nice white one and this Viola 30th on a blue interior, matching the specifications the car was unveiled with back in 1993, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Automobili Lamborghini SpA.

This series from Tomica comes in a larger, square box that has a lift-off lid to show the model snugly packed inside a plastic blister, there is also a cardboard sheet with the model and some details specifically on the Diablo SE30, a nice touch from Tomica.

Not only does the engine cover opens to show these ‘gold’ manifolds found on the Diablo SE30 V12 engine, but both doors also open on this model to show the bright blue interior, keeping in mind we are still talking about a small 1/64 scale model, the attention to detail is impressive, I really like this model.
