For me, the 2018 Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder is the ultimate V10 from Sant'Agata, sure the later Huracan STO looks more aggressive, but it was never offered as a convertible, same with the Huracan Technica, a stunning performance coupe, but not a convertible, and when you look at the Huracan EVO and Huracan EVO RWD as a Spyder, they just don't look as good as the Performante, even if they had the same horsepower from that NA V10 behind the seats.

Also, the Performante Spyder came with ALA, or Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva, just like the Aventador SVJ would, and I for one rather like that little trick with the flaps that open and close to allow more, or less airflow, it's such a nice thing to talk about among friends and fellow Lamborghini owners.

The official press release for the Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder showed two different colors, one being Bianco Monocerus, the other being Blu Aegeus, a very nice matt shade of blue, subsequently that was the shade I wanted to add to the collection, but when MR released this model in late 2018, I just couldn't afford it, so I passed on it.

Years later I started looking for this specific model, in fact, I would have been happy with just about any shade on the MR 1/18 scale Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder, but the press release shade/show car version was still at the top of my wishlist, despite 99 units were made by MR, this model rarely comes up for sale.

But I finally managed to find this rare model from a seller local to me, which completes my collection of Huracan Spyder models on a 1/18 scale, I now have the original Huracan LP610-4 Spyder, the Huracan LP550-2 Spyder, this Huracan Performante Spyder, the Huracan EVO Spyder, and the Huracan EVO RWD Spyder ... every iteration of the convertible V10 Lamborghini made, and I have them all side by side on display, which looks absolutely mesmerizing, I love them.

There is one detail that looks strange, the MR 1/18 scale model comes with the comfort seats on the interior, while the images from the press release show the car with the optional carbon fiber lightweight sport seats ... but when you look at the actual car that was shown at the Geneva Motor Show, it has the comfort seats, just like the MR model does.
