Sometimes it takes a very long time to finally find that one elusive model to make your collection complete, and when I set out to get one of each shade Kyosho released on the Lamborghini Urraco on a 1/18 scale, I quickly ran into some serious issues locating the older releases.
I bought the red one when Kyosho released them many years ago, and added the Bob Wallace, or the Rallye version later on, and at that time I was happy with it, years later Kyosho decided to do a re-release of this Baby Lamborghini, in a nice red metallic and in yellow, two rather contemporary shades from the era when the Urraco V8 was available in real life, and at that time I decided it would be nice to get the other colors too, being Oro, Blu, and Verde ... it took a few months to find the gold one and the blue one, but it seemed the green one had become just about impossible to locate.
So in the end I had to get one all the way from Taiwan, I never bought a model from that country before, and as usual, I got hit with import costs on top of the already rather steep price considering these were €90 models when new.
While the regular Verde Lamborghini Urraco from Kyosho on a 1/18 scale is very rare, I managed to locate the even more exclusive Circuit Wolf Museum edition, a model that wasn't even sold in Europe, ever, and one that comes with a few distinct differences compared to the regular Urraco.
This Circuit Wolf edition comes with a Japanese license plate on the front and on the rear, and orange turn signals in the front bumper, on the regular version these are clear, and to complete the bespoke nature, the interior inside this one is all black, while the regular Urraco release from Kyosho at that time had a two-tone interior with light grey center sections on the seats.
For now, I'm happy with my set of Kyosho-made 1/18 scale Lamborghini Urraco, as I managed to find one of each shade to complete the series, however, when I find a regular Verde version I'm sure I'll be adding it to the collection too, just to be sure having all of them, but in all honesty, I am really glad to have been able to add this Circuit Wolf Urraco to the collection.
