We all make mistakes, and don't bother with a certain model until it has been out of stock for years when you realize you should really add it to your collection anyway, something like that happened to me on multiple occasions, and this red Lamborghini Miura S by GT Spirit is one of them.

Somehow back in 2018, when GT Spirit/Kyosho released this sealed resin 1/18 scale Lamborghini Miura S model I happened to be quite content with the number of Lamborghini Miura models in my collection, until I noticed I didn't even have a 1/18 scale Miura S, somehow I never got around to adding the Kyosho diecast version at that time, and Kyosho released their KSR18506BL in late 2018 finished in a very nice blue metallic, sadly that model arrived with the typical issues back then, a badly fitted windshield.

In early 2019, when this GT Spirit version was available it didn't really draw my attention, a red Lamborghini Miura S with gold wheels and rocker panels, such a classic color combination of which I already owned the Kyosho diecast Miura P400, instead I managed to gather a lot more 1/18 scale Lamborghini Miura models in the years to follow.

At the time of writing, I was able to find all five shades of the Miura SV made by AUTOart, but also all seven shades Kyosho released, including the recent one in yellow, I even managed to find the three regular colors on the Miura S from Kyosho in their all-opening diecast release, right now I own no less than 41 different Lamborghini Miura models on a 1/18 scale ... this red GT Spirit one being one of a very few that were still missing, sadly these have been sold out years ago, so prices went up a little.

In the end, I found this one as an auction listing, and I became the winning bidder at just €130, so I was able to add this one to my collection as well, so I now own both of the sealed resin Lamborghini Miura S models that were released in late 2018, it's always nice to have all the colors once released by a company, I know it might seem ridiculous to some collectors, but I like it.

Apart from being a massive dust magnet, this red Lamborghini Miura S released as a GT Spirit model has a lot less flaws than the more expensive Kyosho version, as far as I can see there are no defects on my sample, the windshield is perfectly fitted, but the fact remains that this model is not nearly as nicely detailed or finely finished as the Kyosho diecast version, if you can find one of the latter, which does also exist in red on gold (item 08316R), please get that one, albeit you might need to pay a little more for the diecast one, but it comes with the added benefit of being able to open the doors, the front hood and the engine cover.

While I don't have any regrets of adding this specific resin model as it completes my series, I wouldn't advise on getting it as you one and only Lamborghini Miura model, there are far better options from Kyosho available if you specifically want to add the Miura S to the collection, and if the Miura SV is an option, you can even turn to AUTOart for one, just keep in mind both Kyosho and AUTOart diecast versions can be considerably more expensive to acquire.

Oddly enough, usually the Kyosho version is the rarer one, however not in this case, as the blue Kyosho was a limited, numbered edition of 500 units, the red GT Spirit version has a plaque stating only 350 units, so this Rosso one is more exclusive than the Blu one in this case.
