In November of 2019, KK-Scale released two colors on the classic Lamborghini 400 GT 2+2, a dark grey metallic and a nice light blue metallic, it didn’t take them too long to add two more colors in January of 2020, a beautiful dark red metallic and a black one, the latter with a stunning red interior, I really love that one, please feel free to take a look at my in-depth review of that model.
So with four different colors on this early Lamborghini GT, I was quite happy to have them all in my collection. Fast forward to the end of 2025, and we suddenly get two additional colors: a very nice, dark green metallic, and this classic Rosso over Tan model, seen here.
Back in the Sixties, when Lamborghini was building the 400 GT 2+2 as a kind of successor to their first production car, the 350 GT, a red on tan car was a classic; several left the factory gates at Sant’Agata, Bologna, Italy, in that very configuration, so it makes sense for KK-Scale to release a model in that configuration.
Remember the Lamborghini 400 GT 2+2 was a slightly modified 350 GT, now with two additional, albeit rather small, rear seats added (most 350 GT were two-seaters, some were a 2+1 configuration), and V12 engine enlarged to 4-Liter from the earlier 3.5-Liter, build between 1966 and 1968, just 224 units were ever built, making this a rather rare car in real life, for comparison, only 120 units of the Lamborghini 350 GT were built.
I already mentioned it in my review of the black Lamborghini 400 GT 2+2 by KK-Scale, this is a very nice model of this classic GT from Sant’Agata, so when they released two more colors, I didn’t hesitate and added them to the collection anyway, this red one is just a classic, and it fits perfectly with their recent release of the Lamborghini Espada in a matching color combination.
Originally released in December 2025.
