My interest in Lamborghini started with the Countach in the Eighties, but I quickly learned about her predecessor, the Lamborghini Miura, and while I love the Miura SVJ, I like all the variations, from the original P400, over the S to the SV, which is why I have a lot of scale models of all the Lamborghini Miura versions in my collection.

It took me a very long time to collect the different 1/18 AUTOart Lamborghini Miura SV, especially the red one with gold wheels was difficult to locate, but that was nothing compared to finding some of the 1/18 scale Kyosho-made Lamborghini Miura models, like the blue P400 or the blue SVR, those are very rare and almost impossible to find in Europe ... but that is one Lamborghini Miura model made by Kyosho that is even rarer.

The orange Lamborghini Miura S Circuit Wolf from Kyosho is so rare that I thought it didn't even exist in real life at one point, I have been collecting Lamborghini scale models for more than 30 years at the time of writing, and I don't remember ever seeing one of these being listed for sale ... never.

Back in 2020, I managed to add a newly released Miura S from Kyosho in red, item 08316R, Kyosho started to do new releases of older, existing models, sometimes in new colors, so it was a very nice opportunity for me to add a Miura S to the collection. I learned Kyosho released two other shades on the Miura S in the past, item 08312P being an orange one, which I found in 2023, and item 08312Y in bright yellow, found one in March of 2024, at that time I proudly published a photo with all three shades side by side, boasting I managed to locate all of the Kyosho-made 1/18 scale diecast Lamborghini Miura S models ... but I was wrong!

A fellow collector mentioned the Miura S Circuit Wolf Museum Collection to me, finished in orange, just like item 08312P, but with a different interior and the usual Japanese license plate fitted to it ... I did a quick search and I could only find a few small images from sites in the Far East, I even looked up the 'sold' listings on eBay for item '08312CWM' or 'Lamborghini Miura S Circuit Wolf', and just a few results came up, so it was clear to me, this is a scarce model to find.

At the end of December 2024, I was doing my daily browsing of the usual online sources for Lamborghini model cars. I found an eBay listing from a seller in Germany from who I bought the yellow Miura S earlier that year, with this Holy Grail Miura S Circuit Wolf version ... an expensive model. But given that I haven't seen it for sale for decades, I sent an offer, and he accepted ... so the first model to arrive in 2025 is an important one.

Item 08312CWM, the 1/18 scale Kyosho-made Lamborghini Miura S finished in orange over a very special orange and brown interior, compared to the all-black interior of the regular one, item 08312P, is an important addition to my collection, ever since I learned about its existence, I had been looking for it, and now I finally own one.

Usually, the main differences between a regular release from Kyosho and one of these The Circuit Wolf versions are two-fold, a different interior and Japanese license plates, on this orange Miura S that is also the case, but there is another difference that I only noticed when I received this model ... there is no antenna on the roof.

On the regular release of the Lamborghini Miura S from Kyosho on a 1/18 scale, there is a chrome antenna on the roof, same as on the SV and the SVR versions, only the Miura P400 doesn't come with an antenna from Kyosho, but for some reason, the Miura P400 S The Circuit Wolf doesn't have an antenna either, very strange indeed.

I just have to mention this, but we're talking about a rather old diecast model, the box mentions a copyright from 2010, so this scale model is 15 years old now, and just look at the attention to detail on it, especially underneath the front hood, on the engine bay, but also in the interior ... we are seeing brand new models being released today that don't even show an interior like this one.

The bottom line is that I'm extremely happy I finally found this model for my collection, I love it, in my opinion, rare doesn't even describe this specific model, this is a near-impossible model to find on today's market, and yes, I had to pay some serious money to add it, but it is still cheaper than a new MR model, and within a year or so, a new AUTOart will be at this price point too, so for me, this one is worth every Euro I spent on it.
