Finally, we have a 1/18 scale model of the Lamborghini Jalpa, made by KK Scale as a sealed model, but with a removable roof panel so you can admire the interior, and while they are releasing four different shades, Bianco Polo Park, Nero Tenebre, and Giallo, for me personally this Rosso Siviglia is the one to add to your collection if you only get one of them.
The yellow one isn't released yet, but the white one comes with a few 'mistakes', the black one is supposed to be the movie car from Rocky IV, but it is incorrect too, and let's face it, a red-on-tan Lamborghini from the Eighties is just the ultimate color combination, and KK Scale got the details just right on this one, apart from their name.
KK Scale released this model as a 1982 Lamborghini Jalpa 3500, but it is the version from 1984 on, with the new, round taillights, color-coded roof panel and engine cover, complete with the side covers over the air intake, and the new, triangular steering wheel ... in this specific version, the Jalpa was only revealed at the 1984 Geneva Motor Show ... but that's just a detail, as otherwise I couldn't be happier to finally be able to add a 1/18 scale Lamborghini Jalpa to the collection.
The interior inside this shade from KK Scale is finished in tan leather, a classic option back in the Eighties inside a red Lamborghini, and KK Scale got it right by leaving the dashboard entirely black with tan seats and door panels, but also the 'carpet' in the cabin is a dark brown, exactly as it would be inside the real car, that's a very nice touch.
One detail KK Scale didn't get right is the embossed Raging Bull crest on the steering wheel, they left the indent of the shield, but omitted to add the Bull itself, very odd, and on my specific sample the Bull center hub on the front wheel was missing, but that's an issue on my red unit only, and an easy fix.
Other than that, I absolutely love this 1/18 scale Lamborghini Jalpa model, and if you are looking to add one to your collection, I would go for this Rosso Siviglia version, but that's just my personal opinion.
