It took me a while to complete the series on the AUTOart-made Lamborghini Diablo SV on a 1/18 scale, especially the yellow one was very difficult to find, and even today you see mostly the blue one listed, sometimes the black one, but hardly ever the rare yellow one, let alone in perfect condition inside the original box.

Something similar is going on with the Welly counterpart, it wasn't too long ago sites like eBay were flooded with Welly-made Lamborghini Diablo SV in 1/18 scale, usually the silver one however, while Welly released some amazing variety when it came to the Diablo SV.

The silver metallic one with the red SV script on the side seems to be the most common, but Welly also released a blue one, very similar to the AUTOart version, in May 2021 I found one I didn't even know existed, a black Diablo SV with red SV script over a light interior, stunning, and also made by Welly.

But a fellow collector managed to find a bright red Lamborghini Diablo SV from Welly, it would take me years to finally find one too, in May 2023 I located this very rare shade, red over white interior, with a white SV script on the side, it seems there is also a red on black version out there, but I've yet to find a listing for that one.

This brings us to the model at hand, the yellow-on-white Lamborghini Diablo SV from Welly with the red SV script, unlike the black interior and black SV on the sides of the yellow AUTOart version, this one comes with a red script ... I guess you either love it or hate it ... I rather like it.

As with all the Lamborghini Diablo SV models from Welly on this scale, the front suspension should be lowered to make it look right, now it seems to be in a permanent 'raised' position to go onto a driveway, it seems to be fairly simple to take this model apart and lower the suspension, but I haven't done that on any of the five different shades I now own, so I'm going to leave it alone for now.

With this yellow Lamborghini Diablo SV from Welly I now own all five different shades they released, I know there are two more out there, the red-on-black one and a yellow-on-black one, and I will be keeping an eye out for those, but as a 'nice-to-have' at this moment in time, when I come across one and it isn't ridiculously expensive I will add it to the collection, but if it's overpriced I just leave it and be happy with the ones I have.
