March 2023, Automobili Lamborghini SpA finally reveals the brand-new Aventador successor, this will become the first V12 hybrid production model built at Sant'Agata, the 1,000 hp Lamborghini Revuelto, internally known as the HPEV, or High Performance Electrified Vehicle.
Beforehand already got the Lamborghini Sián and the Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 which came with the legendary V12 engine and an additional electric engine, powered by a supercapacitor, but both were very limited production specials, the Revuelto will become the first production model from Lamborghini with a newly developed V12 engine assisted by three electric motors for a combined power output above the magical 1,000 hp number.
At the time of writing the first customer cars are being prepared to be delivered, it has taken about a year for Lamborghini to get the Revuelto ready for deliveries, and judging from a few photos and videos that have surfaced online, I think we'll be seeing some amazing specs on this new V12 flagship from Sant'Agata, and to be honest, I can hardly wait to see the Roadster version of the Revuelto that is around the corner I've been told.
I still have the launch spec for the Lamborghini Revuelto from MR on pre-order, my dealer hasn't received it yet, while others seem to have, apparently MR is no longer producing the entire production run of one color in one go, they make a few, ship them out, and then make a few more, and so on, if your dealer is out of luck, it takes ages for the models to arrive, and you know, I'm not a very patient individual, so I got another shade from MR while I wait for the Arancio Apodis version.
And this Grigio Acheso just looked too good to pass on, I saw one in stock at an online webshop and just added it to my cart, I'm a big fan of these satin colors, and with the other details MR went for on this model, I couldn't be happier, and I just love a red interior.
The Grigio Acheso paint is from the Tecnica series at Lamborghini, with a matt finish, the wheels on this model are the Altanero forged units, 21 inch for the front, 22 inch for the rear, finished in a glossy black, these sit over a set of Carbon Ceramic Brakes with the calipers in a stunning Rosso finish.
Then we get to the carbon details on this model, both the Upper Exterior, and Lower Exterior carbon packages have been added to this MR model, together with the Aerodynamic door fin, all in shiny carbon fiber, and the engine cover, or engine surround as the V12 is open to the elements on the Lamborghini Revuelto, I prefer carbon fiber over forged carbon, but that's my personal taste.
It would have been nice if MR added the Rosso Mars livery package to this model, that would add a few touches of red on the rear diffuser, more specifically the vertical fins, with the red calipers I think that would have looked amazing, but you can't win them all I guess.
For the interior, MR went with the Contrast Color trim option, combining Nero Ade with Rosso Alala and contrasted stitching for the seats, dashboard, and central console, the comfort seat option was taken, it would have been nice to see the Sport Seats, but I guess that's for a different exterior color, it does look like MR didn't opt for the color-matched seat belts, but left them black.
One detail I do like about the interior inside this MR model, take a look at the dashboard cluster in front of the driver, it shows the car going at 190 in fifth gear, if you now look at the display in front of the passenger, it also shows 190, that's a nice, consistent detail from MR, sure the car is standing still and no one is inside, but at shows they also run a kind of 'demo' on these displays, so it's nice MR does that too.
I just had to get this Grigio Acheso shade on the Lamborghini Revuelto from MR so I could put her side by side with the Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae in the same shade, this comparision really shows the evolution from Aventador to Revuelto.
And just to make a point, I put this €400 model from MR next to a €45 Maisto, and sure, there is a massive difference between the two, but still, that €45 model does like very nice indeed, and it's a similar matt grey shade too, I like those Maisto a lot.
I'm really happy with this new MR model on the Lamborghini Revuelto, I'm still eagerly awaiting my Arancio Apodis launch spec from MR, but for now, I can at least admire this high-end model in a very nice spec, and what makes it even better, this Grigio Acheso is limited to just 99 units, so in the end it will be a rarer model compared to the launch spec, which will probably be 399 or at least 199 units.
