I'm sure you all know about the green Lamborghini Countach production prototype, the oldest remaining Countach in existence as the original 1971 prototype in yellow was lost after being crash tested, today this green car is on display at the factory museum in Sant'Agata, and there is a 1/18 scale model made by Kyosho.
At one time Kyosho announced they would also release this model in red, as there was a red prototype too, driven by Bob Wallace, so when I found a 1/43 scale model from Maxichamps (which seems to be a brand in the Minichamps group) in red I just had to add it to my collection.
Maxichamps also released this in yellow, but as far as I know, you only had the 1971 prototype in yellow, the subsequent prototypes with this type of side window treatment were red and green, so I didn't get this in yellow, only in this red shade.
With a price of €20 you don't really expect Looksmart quality, but overall this model isn't too bad, and it's an important piece of Lamborghini history, so I'm glad I found one for my collection.
