Recently I was staying overnight in the Netherlands for work, and I noticed that a model car shop in Haarlem was having a 'shopping evening' on Thursday so I left my hotel and decided to take a look around.
And I'm happy I did, I found a very nice 1/43 scale model of the Lamborghini Gallardo, it sat in a rather funny box with 'patato car' on it which made it look like a kid had been drawing on it, I couldn't find a manufacturer on the box, but with a list price of only a few Euros I didn't hesitate and grabbed it along
When I opened the box later that evening in the hotel I actually noticed it was built by Highspeed, perhaps not the best builder around, but this model is really very nicely finished, especially taking in to account the very low price I actually paid for it.
The antennas on the roof are a bit thick when compared to the AutoArt model, but as I already said, remember the latter one is about 6 or 7 times more expensive.
It's a nice model and surely deserves a place in a Lamborghini collection, I for one have no regrets of buying it, something that can't be said of all the models we buy, sometimes you pay top dollar for a sub-standard model, so it's a really good feeling finding a little gem like this one.
