When AutoArt announces a new model we are all anxious to get our hands on it because most of the time these are a real work of art in small scale, and this brand new Gallardo LP560-4 edition is no different
I've ordered one from the Far East as they usually have these models earlier than anywhere else in the world, however it still took some time before it was actually delivered, which tested my patience, but the wait was surely worth it
It is obvious AutoArt either made new molds for this car or they seriously improved their original Gallardo molds, the LP560-4 is very nicely detailed, perhaps even better than their recent Superleggera models, the only thing I did notice was the rear wing, it is made of plastic instead of metal like the rest of the body, and especially on this yellow metallic shade you can notice a difference in color on it, which is a bit of a shame to be honest.
This might be my eyes playing tricks on me, but I feel the interior is also better detailed then in earlier AutoArt Gallardo's, especially the central console with the nav screen looks nice, just like the manual gear lever ... it all looks better to me.
Open de engine cover and the stunning details capture your eye, just take a look at that miniature oil filler cap, it just captivates you how well this V10 engine and the bay around it has been reproduced in small scale.
The biggest difference on the outside are naturally the front bumper, in Reventon style, the new taillights and the return of dual exhausts at either side. AutoArt went for the optional wheels on this LP560-4 model, a cross spoke, polished model that isn't to every Lamborghini fan's taste, the new five spoke wheels as used on the Looksmart 1/43 model might have been a better idea.
All in all this new model is surely worth adding to your collection, and just in case you prefer another shade it is also available in black and soon AutoArt will bring out a blue and a white version, especially the latter one sounds really interesting.
