In the late Nineties it became obvious to Automobili Lamborghini SpA that the Diablo was reaching an age where it had to be replaced by a successor, so development began on the L147 ... which would later receive the name Canto.
Several designs were proposed, but this Zagato designed one went the furthest, rumor has it that no less than three drivable prototypes were built, and that one of these Canto was even sold to a collector in Japan.
Naturally we will have to settle for a scale car, but the Looksmart 1/43 unit is really up for the task. As usual with Looksmart it isn't the cheapest model out there, but it shows in the finish and detailing, this is a very nice model, and as it is finished in orange it actually corresponds with one of the three actual prototypes.
Looksmart also offers it in red by they way, note that in real life they made a grey one, an orange one, a red one and sometime during it's life one of these prototypes was repainted in Black.
