n early 2023, Automobili Lamborghini SpA finally unveiled the long-awaited Aventador successor. The development of their first plug-in hybrid supercar took longer than anticipated. The brand new Revuelto was shown to the public with a massive 6.5-Liter V12 engine and three electric motors. This combination offers a total power output of a staggering 1,001 hp. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes only 2.5 seconds in this new flagship.
Usually, when Lamborghini reveals an all-new model, it takes some time to deliver to customers. Most of the time, dealers receive demo units, but they cannot sell those for at least six months, if ever. The Reveulto was introduced on March 29, 2023. Actual production units started being built by July that year, with deliveries not happening until the end of 2023. Most early deliveries were the base spec packages that Lamborghini put together with a limited number of colors. If you wanted to fully spec your new Revuelto and add some Ad Personam options, your delivery date would be well into 2024.
And then we get into the scale models, as always, MR was among the first to list a 1/18 scale model to be released, in March of 2023 already, days after the official unveil of the real car, but it would take MR over a year to actually start shipping out their models, LAMBO058A being the official press release version in Arancio Apodis, I only received in July of 2024. But I just couldn’t resist the MR model LAMBO058B, finished in Grigio Acheso on a Rosso interior. I absolutely love that spec, but it was only available a year after the announcement, in March 2024.
At the time of writing, we are effectively three years after the official reveal of the Lamborghini Revuelto, and we still have no announcement from AUTOart for a 1/18 scale all-opening model from them, I for one are really waiting for a Revuelto from AUTOart, and a Temerario, but that doesn’t seem to be happening any time soon, from what I understand. But there is a silver lining. In November of 2025, I learned that LCD Models was going to make the Revuelto on a 1/18 scale, in multiple colors, starting with the Arancio Apodis launch color.
I for one was getting excited about that, in September of 2025 I added their 1/64 scale Lamborghini Revuelto, and it looked really good, so I imagined how good a 1/18 scale model could be, I started looking at their other larger scale models they already released, and I was impressed, also other collectors wrote raving reviews about what sounds like a serious competitor to AUTOart and Kyosho when it comes to higher-end, all-opening 1/18 scale models.
But now things started to get interesting to say the least, I was the model being listed from a known seller online, I contacted him a few days later, but he already sold out, after that I saw this new Lamborghini Revuelto available from a webshop in Italy, but at a much higher price, so I hesitated a little ... it sold out quickly too, incredible, people were really waiting for this one to come around I guess, so I ended up putting in a pre-order straight from China, and started waiting.
The model arrived very well packed and protected, after being stuck at customs, and paying import fees, as usual, but I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised when I took it out of the very stylish, black outer cardboard box, LCD Models ships their Lamborghini Revuelto with a pair of small precision Phiips head screwdrivers, which to me look color-coded to the orange scale model, and come with LCD Models branding, very nice indeed.
There is also a black ‘prying’ tool to be able to open the doors and hoods easier, a nice white paper explaining what you can open on the model, and a small shield that shows the Raging Bull logo on one side, and some information, in Chinese, on the other side, all while the model itself sits snugly inside a styrofoam clamshell, protected with soft cloth and a plastic part to hold the front hood down, while there are also small round transparant decals to keep doors and hoods closed during transport, and get this, those small round decals also show an LCD script, love that detail.
So is this model living up to the hype that has been going around about it? But let’s get into the price first. If this is going to be an AUTOart killer, as some call it, how does it compare price-wise? That all depends on where you buy it from it seems, prices vary wildly, my usual online shop in Italy lists this one at a massive €420, and that’s really a lot of money for this specific model, but you can find it at other online shops from anything between €215 and €290, add shipping, and in my case import fees, and I ended up spending €280 all-in for mine, and for what this model brings to the table, that’s great value for money if you ask me.
After inspecting this new LCD Models Lamborghini Revuelto up close, I have to admit AUTOart will have a hard time beating this one, this model is very close to perfection, I have actually put it alongside my MR sealed resin model, usually a kind of reference when it comes to 1/18 scale Lamborghini models, and I have to admit this LCD Models version is better than the MR on many points, not all, but many, and considering we’re looking at €280 vs €380, that’s just amazing.
On a Lamborghini Revuelto, the impressive V12 is partly visible through the open engine cover, finished in carbon fiber on this spec, mind you, but on these LCD Models you can open the cover and really take a look at the engine. And the attention to detail is just amazing here, it almost looks like a real V12 engine, and you can notice the bright orange cables for the high-voltage stuff, there is even a ‘stick’ to hold the engine cover up, just like on the real car, beautiful.
And that’s just one thing this LCD Models Lamborghini Revuelto shines, it all opens up, the engine cover, the two massive doors, with full side windows of course, the front hood, and the rear wing can be raised, a small detail perhaps, but it’s there. Someone asked about the fuel lid cover, but I don’t think you can open that one. It would be great if you could, but I didn’t want to force anything. It does look like a separate part, but I’m not sure it can be opened.
With the doors open, you can really admire the interior of this 1/18 scale model, and LCD Models did a great job here too, very detailed, being the launch spec, this interior is the Contrast Color Trim option combining Nero Ade with Arancio Apodis to match the exterior, naturally complete with orange Raging Bull logos on the headrests, orange stitching and piping on the seats and the stunning Q-Citura hexagon pattern on the seats and door panels. And let me tell you, LCD Models does a better job at this interior compared to MR, the piping and stitching look amazing, I love it.
And that’s just the general thing about this new LCD Models Lamborghini Revuelto, the attention to detail is amazing, just take a look at those carbon ceramic rotors, they look real, and if you take a closer look at the tires, you can actually read Bridgestone Potenza Sport 355/35ZRF22 RFT on them, it’s tiny, but it’s there, and I truly think this is a great model, heck, even the exterior rear view mirrors can be folded in.
So is it all perfect? No, I have to admit I am less impressed on how LCD Models handled the Alcantara interior inside this specific spec, it’s ‘flocked’, and the floormats look amazing with their orange piping, but the lower part of the dashboard and the sides of these comfort seats are also finished in Alcantara on the real car, but LCD Models made that in a shade of gray that’s too light compared to the center of the seat, which should be leather.
But so far, that’s the only thing I could criticize on this LCD Models Lamborghini Revuelto, it looks amazing in my collection, and I truly am impressed with it, so much so that I’m seriously thinking about adding more colors when they become available.
