AutoArt surely is on a roll when it comes to Lamborghini scale models, the Murciélago LP670-4 Super Veloce has quickly become a massive hit on the diecast market; people that never even considered getting one started buying it ... people like me couldn't resist the different shades and ended up with several of them, I have six shades myself, but others just got all eight of them.

And shortly after that the Murciélago LP640 became available, first in the well know Giallo Orion shade, a stunning pearl metallic yellow, and later on this Arancio Atlas was released, together with Verde Ithaca and Nero Aldebaran (which I also bought in a moment of weakness)

Firstly I really like the metallic yellow shade on this model; it looks perfect in-between the original Murciélago 6.2 and the LP670-4 Super Veloce models in exactly the same shade … but you must admit the orange metallic looks even better.

There is such a deep gloss in this paint, the metal flakes are what makes the Arancio stand out on the shelve … it just draws attention no matter from what angle you look at it, I think the black shade will be a totally different story (didn't receive that model yet) … it will not draw as much attention at first glance, but once you look at it I'm sure it will be one sinister looking Bull … ready to charge in the blink of an eye.

Back to this one, AutoArt mounts the glossy black wheels on all their shades, would be nice to have some variations, I'm sure this orange would look just as good with the standard silver wheels, or even dark gun metal grey … and why not put orange brake calipers on it, these were available from the factory at that time, and I'm sure orange brake calipers behind those black wheels would look awesome … there's always room for improvement I guess, nobody is holding us back to change this on our own anyway.

I for one really admire the Murciélago LP640 model, I consider it to be the final production version of the range as the LP670-4 Super Veloce was a limited edition model, only 350 should have been built (they built a few extra cars by the way) so it wasn't really a production model, that's why I've put this bright orange Murciélago next to the Diablo VT 6.0 in the same shade.

The side by side shots of the Murciélago LP640 and the Diablo VT 6.0 clearly show the evolution of the Lamborghini V12 flagship model, sure the Diablo looks amazing, but you have to admit the LP640 looks so much more menacing … still the Diablo remains a classic that was only built a year or so, you should have at least one shade of both in your collection, so why not go for this magnificent orange shade ?
