The legendary Lamborghini Countach was used several years in a row during the Monaco Grand Prix in the early Eighties.
This red, second series LP400 S has been driven by none other than Jacky Ickx, a famous race driver, the model has been very nicely reproduced by Ixo in a limited edition production run.
Only 1500 models have been made by Ixo and officially it was only available in Japan, naturally with internet these days I was able to get hold of one in Europe, but they remain steeply priced to be honest.
Ixo also built the 1982 Countach pace car which was finished in white, however this is a regular production model, so it is priced much lower.
Both this red limited edition and the white Countach Pace Car deserve a nice place in your Lamborghini scale car collection, they aren't too expensive and are still very nicely detailed.
